APP Hereditary Cancer (Genetics) & High-risk Breast Oncology Fellow / 12 Month APP Fellowship Program Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and Physician Assistant (PA‑C) Fellowship Program at Moffitt Cancer Center. This 12‑month fellowship focuses on evaluation, management and treatment of oncology patients with an emphasis on genetics (hereditary cancer and high‑risk breast syndrome). The fellowship offers full benefits and a salary of $75,000. Position Highlights Assists physicians with evaluation, management and treatment of a wide spectrum of patients with different medical problems and comorbidities. Works within a defined scope of practice and under the authority of supervising physician(s) or specific protocol(s). Responsibilities Provides patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team, coordinating and optimizing care with specialists. Correlates subjective and objective data to formulate a differential or working diagnosis. Formulates treatment plans within scope of practice. Performs minor surgical procedures within scope of practice. Prescribes oral and IV medications when appropriate, within scope of practice. Documents patient care in accordance with medical staff rules. Conducts research projects and presents posters or podium presentations. Participates in tumor boards and other educational venues. Credentials and Qualifications Master’s degree required. Graduated from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nursing Program or accredited Physician Assistant Program and board‑certified in APRN or PA‑C. Licensed as an APRN or Physician Assistant in Florida one month prior to fellowship start date. Certified in BLS and ACLS; must maintain certifications while in fellowship. Experience in oncology or general internal medicine; critical care experience is a plus.
