Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide critical care within a Level II Trauma Center. The nurse will deliver advanced patient management and support to critically ill patients in the Critical Care Unit (CCU), ensuring high-quality care and adherence to facility policies.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive ICU care, including ventilator management, to critically ill patients.
• Monitor patient status continuously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal recovery.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record, preferably Epic.
• Comply with hospital policies, including vaccination requirements, licensure, and orientation protocols.
• Ensure compliance with travel policies, local radius restrictions, and credentialing requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Alabama RN license or equivalent compact state licensure at the time of submission.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years ICU experience, with 1 year in high-acuity or busy ICU settings.
• Demonstrate ventilator management experience and clinical proficiency in critical care.
• Be BLS certified; ACLS certification preferred.
• Have experience working in large healthcare facilities and prior travel experience.
• Be willing to work night shifts (4x12 hours) with every other weekend required.
