This position requires a dedicated and experienced professional who excels in critical care scenarios. Unit Information Number of Beds: 24 Patient Ratios: 1:4 Unit Staffing Description: Unit secretary available 21 hours/day; Core RN staff of 5 during peak hours. Equipment: Level 1 fluid warmer, GE monitor system, Artic Sun, Lifepak, Alaris pumps. Documentation System: Meditech Scheduling Requirements Must be available to work every third weekend with mid-shift scheduling. Shifts may start as early as 10:00 AM and as late as 1:00 PM. Floating Policy Floating to other units is rare and only occurs if other staff have been sent home. Patient Experience Requirements Utilize AIDET principles, maintain clear communication through whiteboards, and foster a positive environment. Qualifications Required Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center. Certifications: Current RN license in KS, ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC, and NIH. Preferred certifications include CEN or TCRN. Advanced Skills: Proficient in trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis management, and triage practices. Duties and Responsibilities Perform all procedures associated with a Level 2 trauma center, providing exceptional care and support to patients in critical conditions.
