Job Description
Registered Respiratory Therapist - Level 3 NICU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift available: 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will work independently within a Level 3 NICU and possess the skills and experience to operate in a Level 2 regional trauma center. The role requires flexibility as staff may float between departments. Weekend shifts are required every other week per the collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients in a Level 3 NICU.
• Assist in high-risk deliveries and manage ventilator support.
• Administer treatments and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Respond to emergency situations effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Washington State license to practice as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in hand.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 3 NICU or equivalent setting.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
