Material Handler

A chemical manufacturing company is seeking a Material Handler in Rock Hill, SC to join their team. This role is crucial in maintaining efficiency within a chemical manufacturing plant known for its commitment to quality and safety in production processes.

3 month contract 

Shift of the Material Handler:
1st 6am-2:30pm, Monday - Friday 

Pay Rate of the Material Handler:
$19.50/hr

Responsibilities of the Material Handler:

• Perform packing and packaging of finished product in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
• Label, seal, and prepare containers (pails, drums, etc.) for shipment.
• Transport materials throughout the plant, including moving finished goods, delivering samples to the laboratory, and supporting general material flow between departments.
• Serve as a runner to support production and lab operations as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with housekeeping and safety standards.

Qualifications of the Material Handler:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Forklift experience is highly preferred.
