Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Location

Fargo, ND

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, every other holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to general Medical Surgical patients within a 10-bed unit
• Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, utilizing age and population specific standards
• Operate unit equipment including EMR (Epic), AccuDose, Bladder Scanner, Phillips monitors, and Telemetry
• Float to other Medical Surgical units across campus as needed
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 5:1 on day shift

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Experience in a larger hospital setting (minimum 250 beds) at a Level 2 or higher trauma center
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Active ND RN license or compact state RN license (or willingness to obtain)
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Documented prior travel nursing experience (completed assignments); recent travel experience within the last year preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Completed travel nursing assignments within the past year
• Familiarity with Telemetry monitoring and AccuDose medication dispensing systems
