Visit and explore our culture on LinkedIn and Instagram.What You’ll DoAs an Engineer III, you’re fully competent in conventional design engineering and serve as a discipline expert—leading design concepts and analyses, coordinating across MEP and architectural teams, mentoring colleagues, and delivering clear, code‑aligned documentation from concept through construction.Assume responsible charge for projects within your experience and expertise; lead disciplinedesign delivery on moderate to large projects.Lead the project team in developing design approaches and concepts; perform engineeringstudies and analyses using industry software.Coordinate designs with other disciplines to determine equipment needs, provide input foroperating procedures, and supply technical information.Evaluate work of technical staff and provide feedback/corrections; review work for technicalaccuracy prior to final QA/QC.Develop discipline man‑hour budgets and workplans; update schedules with the ProjectManager and deliver to plan.Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, clients, and local authorities/utilities to define scope andincorporate applicable standards.Identify model/drawing collisions and ensure timely resolution by the design team; upholdproactive QA/QC plans.Review shop drawings and submittals; respond to contractor and supplier questions during bidand construction phases.Conduct job‑site visits to monitor progress and observe installed construction; comment basedon design specs, owner expectations, and codes.Assist senior technical staff with technical documentation, proposals, and client presentations;participate in professional organizations.Provide mentoring and developmental guidance to team members; assist in designing/executinginternal technical trainings.Who We’re Looking ForMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited college with 12 years applicableexperience in discipline design and analysisRegistered Professional EngineerAn expert in the discipline of his/her expertisePreferred Qualifications:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Proficient in industry software (Revit and AutoCAD) and discipline-specific tools (e.g., Trace700, SKM).Thorough knowledge of engineering theories/methodologies, drafting/design procedures andspecifications, and design specifications.Thorough knowledge of applicable codes and regulations; equipment selection tools;construction costs and methods.Strong written communication and technical writing; clear speech clarity; strong comprehensionand presentation skills.Organizational skills to marshal resources and orchestrate multiple activities; mentoringmindset; sound judgment and decision-making.Ability to visualize design solutions and communicate them effectively across disciplines andwith clients/contractors.What We Offer100% Employee-Owned – Ownership from day one with immediate ESOP vesting.Retirement Savings – 401(k) with immediate vesting and a generous company match.Health & Wellness – Medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus company‑funded HSAcontributions for HDHP plans.Company-Paid Protection – Life insurance, AD&D, and short and long term disability at no costto you.Work-Life Balance – Flexible schedules, paid parental leave, generous PTO, and paid companyholidays.Career Growth – Tuition reimbursement and ongoing professional development support.SSR is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action EmployerEEO Disabled/VeteransThis job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.Recruiters or staffing agencies: SSR is not obligated to compensate any external recruiter or search firm who presents a candidate, their resume, or profile to an SSR employee without 1) a current, fully executed agreement on file and 2) being assigned to the open position via HRJob SummaryRequisition Number: ENGIN Job Category: EngineeringSchedule: Full-Time
