Johnson Lexus of Raleigh is looking for a motivated, personable Pre-Owned Sales Consultant to join our team.

Our pre-owned inventory gives customers the opportunity to choose from a wide variety of makes, models, price points, and ownership options, including Lexus Certified Pre-Owned vehicles. That means our Pre-Owned Sales Consultants need to be curious, adaptable, and ready to become knowledgeable about much more than a single product line.

What You'll Do

As a Pre-Owned Sales Consultant, you'll guide customers through the vehicle-buying experience from their first conversation through delivery and beyond.

You'll:

• Welcome customers and create a professional, comfortable, and engaging sales experience.
• Ask thoughtful questions to understand each customer's needs, preferences, lifestyle, and budget.
• Help customers explore our diverse selection of pre-owned vehicles.
• Develop strong working knowledge of available inventory across multiple makes and models.
• Present vehicle features, technology, condition, history, and ownership benefits accurately and professionally.
• Explain Lexus Certified Pre-Owned vehicles and program benefits when applicable.
• Conduct professional and informative test drives.
• Assist customers in evaluating purchase, financing, and trade-in options.
• Prepare and present pricing proposals in accordance with dealership guidelines.
• Partner with Sales Management and Finance to help customers move smoothly through the purchase process.
• Respond promptly to internet leads, phone inquiries, and other prospective customers.
• Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective and existing customers by phone, email, text, and other approved channels.
• Accurately maintain customer information and sales activity in the dealership's CRM system.
• Build repeat and referral business through strong relationships and consistent follow-through.
• Stay current on available inventory, incoming vehicles, manufacturer programs, warranties, and competitive products.
• Complete required dealership and manufacturer training.
• Conduct professional vehicle deliveries and ensure customers understand the features and technology of their vehicle.
• Introduce customers to our Service team and help establish a relationship that continues beyond the sale.

• The ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• A valid driver's license and driving record acceptable under Company standards.
• Flexibility to work a retail automotive schedule, including Saturdays as required.

Previous automotive sales experience is welcome, but it isn't the only path to success. Experience in hospitality, retail, customer service, relationship-based sales, or another performance-driven environment can translate extremely well into automotive sales.
