Salary: $35.00 Hourly Location : Clayton County, Distrist 3-3, GA Job Type: Part Time Hourly Job Number: T7001 Division/Section: District 3-3 County Position Opening Date: 07/07/2026 Closing Date: 7/31/2026 5:00 PM Eastern Description Under direct supervision, cleans teeth, examines head, neck and oral areas for signs of oral disease. May educate clients on oral hygiene, take and develop X-rays, or apply fluoride or sealants. Job ResponsibilitiesProvides preliminary screening and notes potential problems to aid the supervisor dentist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Provides comprehensive, professional dental hygiene treatment/service as directed by dentist supervisor. Treatment includes x-rays, prophylaxis, scaling when indicated, Deep Scaling with Anesthesia, fluoride treatments and dental sealants. Accommodates scheduling of patients in order to fully utilize the clinical session as directed by dentist supervisor. Provides oral hygiene instructions to patients and parent/guardians as appropriate, and documents such in patient record. Follows clinical guidelines of record documentation and HIPPA regulations. Practices infection control according to clinical protocol and OSHA regulations. Breaks down and set up operatory between patients Under broad supervision, cleans teeth, examines head, neck and oral areas for signs of oral disease. May serve as a lead worker. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Minimum QualificationsAssociate's degree in dental hygiene from an accredited college or university AND current Georgia dental hygienist license AND Two years of related experience N/A Georgia Department of Public Health
