Accounting Associate (Part-Time)

Accounting AssociateWe're looking for a detail-oriented accounting associate to support our financial operations with a focus on general ledger, reconciliations, and reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles. You'll work closely with the CFO to ensure accuracy across accounts, especially during month-end close.Schedule: 24 hours/week | Flexible (8:00 - 4:00 or 9:00 -5:00) Supervisory Responsibilities: No FLSA Category : Part-time, Non-Exempt Reports to: CFO Pay: $26–$29/hourWhat You'll DoPrepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracyReview and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliationsSupport and review month-end close, including AP and AR activity, accruals, and reconciliationsIdentify and report discrepancies to the CFOMaintain organized documentation for reconciliations and financial recordsAssist with financial reporting and audit preparationSupport grant-related financial tracking and documentationCommunicate with internal teams and external partners as neededPerform data entry and maintain accurate accounting recordsPerform other duties as assignedWhat You BringAssociate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred2–5 years of accounting experienceStrong understanding of general ledger and reconciliationsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesProficiency in spreadsheets; required to learn accounting software (Blackbaud)Strong communication and organizational skillsAbility to handle confidential information with carePhysical & Other RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periods and use a computer regularlyOccasionally lift up to 15 poundsMay require occasional driving for work-related tasksSuccessful completion of all role required checksValid driver's license and access to a personal vehicleEqual Opportunity EmployerWe are an equal-opportunity employer deeply committed to diversity and inclusivity.
