Seeking a Tax Manager to supervise and mentor team members, review work for quality and consistency, provide guidance on technical tax matters, collaborate with clients to identify tax-saving opportunities, address tax-related inquiries, and support broader advisory services.

The Tax Manager is a full-time, on-site position based in Kirkwood, MO. This role is responsible for overseeing tax planning, compliance, and preparation for a diverse portfolio of business clients and their owners. Key responsibilities include reviewing complex tax returns, monitoring changes in tax law, managing tax engagements, and ensuring accurate and timely filings. The Tax Manager will supervise and mentor team members, review work for quality and consistency, provide guidance on technical tax matters, collaborate with clients to identify tax-saving opportunities, address tax-related inquiries, and support broader advisory services.
Qualifications
- Strong tax planning and tax strategy skills, with the ability to identify and communicate tax-saving opportunities.
- Demonstrated expertise in tax compliance and tax preparation for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other business entities.
- Solid understanding of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply them in practical client situations.
- Broad knowledge of federal, state, and local taxation, including research and documentation of complex tax issues.
- CPA license strongly preferred; bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Several years of progressive public accounting tax experience, including managing engagements and leading teams.
- Proficiency with tax and accounting software, as well as Microsoft Excel and other productivity tools.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a strong commitment to accuracy and client service.
