Learning & Development Specialist

Summary Using adult learning principles, the Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for successfully developing, documenting, and administering engaging learning experiences for new hires, new processes, and new technologies within the Client Success department. The role focuses on system training, technical processes, and organizational procedures, and may involve classroom, one‑to‑one, and LMS delivery. Responsibilities Design, document, and facilitate new hire and ongoing training for the Client Success department, with a heavy focus on initial onboarding. Foster a positive training and learning culture through adult learning principles. Communicate with CS leadership to address individual team member competency and performance. Partner with internal SMEs to develop, document, deliver, and coordinate training plans and curriculum across multiple Client Success roles. Develop and document proof of proficiency and certification for tasks/functions. Work with Process Owners and CS Leaders to identify training gaps, create plans, and maintain positive relationships. Coordinate and facilitate ongoing department and role training as needed. Assist in the maintenance of the learning management system, training documentation, and lesson plans. Create content curriculum using Bridge, Workday, Confluence, Rise 360, Canva, Camtasia, Mentimeter, and other tools. Act as a subject‑matter expert for these technologies. Partner with Product, Corporate Project, Marketing, and Sales teams to develop relevant content. Participate in department training priority meetings, set schedules, and resolve conflicts. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of work‑related experience. Teaching or training experience. Group facilitation experience. Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, Bridge, Workday, Confluence, Rise 360, Canva, Mentimeter, and Camtasia. Document preparation and presentation experience. Proficiency in Zoom and Teams facilitation, presentation, reporting, and polling. Experience with one‑on‑one feedback and employee development. Working knowledge of Client Success systems and processes preferred. Basic understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies. Dynamic presenter and facilitator. Agile and flexible mindset. Working Conditions Hybrid work schedule: in office Monday–Wednesday, remote Thursday–Friday (optional). Must be located along the Wasatch Front. Professional, non‑distracting environment for remote work. Office work involving long periods of sitting at a computer and typing.
