Project Manager II

Project Manager II – Senior Project Management Senior project management position responsible for overseeing projects from planning through completion and ensuring client satisfaction. Responsibilities May train and provide direction to Project Assistant and/or Project Manager I in maintaining project-required tracking devices. Plan and organize a project under the direction of a Senior PM or Division Manager. Participate in the supervision and training of Project Assistants and/or Project Manager I. Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate guidelines. Negotiate terms and supervise the preparation of all change orders on the project. Liaise with primary client and architecture/engineering to facilitate construction activities. Support construction activities with the onsite foreman and area superintendent to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget. Anticipate, prevent, and resolve potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines. Represent the company in project meetings. Direct the preparation of all change quotations and negotiate them to a successful conclusion. Prepare monthly costing reports under the supervision of a Senior PM or Division Manager. Manage the financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company’s interests and maintain a good relationship with the client. May assist with the development of new business opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in a project management role. Technical and Professional Skills Effective performance management. Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures. Proficiency in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and Oracle. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with changing priorities. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude. Strong oral and written communication skills. Self‑motivated, proactive, and effective team player. Professional interaction with all levels of employees, vendors, and clients. Travel Up to 25%. Working Conditions Primarily performed on active construction sites. Activities include sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending. Work is conducted indoors with lighting and air conditioning. Noise level is typically low to medium, but may be loud on a job. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. Benefits Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). 401(k).
