What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a PCU setting, including those with cardiac, stroke, and other medical conditions
• Administer medications, including titratable drips such as Cardene, Cardizem, Heparin, and Insulin (with manager approval if experience lacking)
• Assist with patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and respond to patient needs quickly and efficiently
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including RT, OT, PT, and hospitalist services
• Manage patient documentation using Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Support unit activities such as IV insertions, phlebotomy, and chest tube management as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment

What You Need
Required:

• Active RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care RN experience in a hospital setting
• BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Certification (or ability to obtain before start)
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam prior to arrival
• Strong clinical skills including IV management and patient assessment

Preferred:

• Experience with titratable infusions, chest tubes, traches, or peritoneal dialysis
• Prior travel or bedside RN experience in PCU or Med-Surg units
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
