Senior Commercial Real Estate Attorney

A growing national law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join its Charlotte practice at Senior Associate, Counsel or Junior Partner level. The role is suited to an established real estate attorney who wants sophisticated transactional work, meaningful client responsibility and greater autonomy without moving into a traditional BigLaw environment. The successful attorney will advise clients across complex commercial real estate transactions, working with developers, owners, investors, lenders and other businesses throughout the lifecycle of significant property matters. The Role The attorney will handle matters including: Commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions. Commercial leasing. Purchase and sale agreements. Development agreements. Joint ventures. Easements and other property agreements. Title and survey review. Entity and ownership structures related to real estate investments. Working with lenders and borrowers on property-related financing. Managing transactions from initial structuring through closing. Advising developers, owners, investors and operating businesses. Supervising junior attorneys and coordinating transaction teams where appropriate. The Candidate Candidates should have: At least 8 years of substantive commercial real estate experience. Experience handling acquisitions and dispositions. Commercial leasing experience. Experience with development and/or real estate finance matters. Excellent drafting and negotiation skills. The ability to manage sophisticated transactions independently. Excellent commercial judgment. A JD from an accredited US law school. Active North Carolina Bar admission or clear eligibility for admission. Candidates from strong regional, national or larger law firms will all be considered. Why Consider This Opportunity?
