SUMMARY :
Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its Charlotte office. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience handling commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution. Experience with landlord representation, real estate litigation, or property management matters is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Handle commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Manage discovery, depositions, hearings, negotiations, and other litigation activities.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with landlord representation, real estate litigation, and property-related matters.
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal professionals on case strategy and client matters.
REQUIREMENTS :
- 5-10 years of substantive commercial litigation experience.
- North Carolina Bar admission required.
- South Carolina Bar admission is a plus.
- Experience managing litigation matters through resolution.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage cases, deadlines, and client relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active and in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar.
- Experience with commercial disputes and complex litigation preferred.
- Exposure to real estate litigation, landlord representation, or property management matters is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, judgment, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
