Role Description:

The Business Management Office serves as the strategic execution engine for NAM International, translating enterprise strategy into coordinated action across the organization. Reporting to the CEO and integrated into the weekly SWAT team, the BMO drives day-to-day execution of transformation initiatives, manages cross-functional dependencies, and ensures alignment between strategic priorities and operational delivery.

The Program Manager is a senior role within the Business Management Office (BMO), responsible for driving execution of NAM International's most critical strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Global Business Manager and working closely with the NAM International Executive Management team and their Business Leads. This position requires an individual who can navigate complexity, build alignment across diverse senior stakeholders, and maintain momentum on multiple high-impact programs simultaneously.

The roles and responsibilities of the Senior Program Manager in the BMO is as follows:

Program Execution & Delivery

• Manage a high-performing transformation team members, including PMO, project managers, business and process analysts
• Provide strategic oversight and governance of critical initiatives which may include 3-5 year strategic plan, operating model redesign, and/or inorganic acquisition integration
• Support in embedding Nomura’s program governance framework with clear milestones, accountability, business outcomes, and escalation protocols
• Monitor cross-functional workstream performance, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives and driving resolution of critical risks and blockers through senior stakeholder engagement
• Drive accountability across project teams, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and timelines

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Serve as the central point of coordination for strategic initiatives, connecting workstreams and ensuring alignment across business units, central functions, IT and support teams
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across Nomura including EMEA and AEJ
• Identify conflicts in priorities, resources, or approach; escalate critical decisions with clear recommendations

Stakeholder Management & Communication

• Ensure program governance is operational with proper communication plans in place to keep stakeholders informed, engaged, and aligned
• Work with the Global Business Manager to prepare executive-level updates, including but not limited to monthly governance material and change orders
• Facilitate working groups and steering committees to help drive decision-making and maintain momentum

Value Tracking & Performance Monitoring

• Embed Nomura’s framework to track and measure progress against strategic business objectives
• Monitor program health through KPIs/Business Outcomes, milestones, and budget adherence; provide early warning on risks/issues and recommend course corrections
• Conduct post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement, where applicable

Strategic Analysis & Problem Solving

• Analyze new initiatives, organizational design options, vendor optimization opportunities, and cost structure improvements
• Support business case development and investment decisions with rigorous analysis and clear recommendations
• Identify process improvement opportunities and work with teams to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency

Skills, experience, qualifications, and knowledge required:

• Strategic Execution : 15+ year experience , with a minimum of 5 years in Asset Management, in delivering complex, high-impact initiatives that advance business objectives. Proven ability to translate strategic vision into actionable plans and drive execution across the organization.
• Program Management Excellence: Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously, driving alignment across project teams on timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation. Experience coordinating cross-functional efforts to achieve organizational priorities.
• Operational Leadership: Experience managing large, cross-functional teams and improving operational efficiency. Skilled at optimizing business processes and removing barriers to execution.
• Stakeholder Management : Exceptional ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels, from project teams to senior executives and board members. Builds strong relationships that enable effective decision-making and progress.
• Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Assist the business leads with managing program budgets and resource allocation decisions that maximize ROI.
• Risk Management: Proactive in identifying potential risks to program success and developing mitigation strategies. Balances risk considerations with business needs to maintain forward momentum.

*base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience.
