Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

We are seeking dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for a role in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting. This position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment while providing high-quality care to residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor residents' health status and report any changes to the nursing staff.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate records using Point Click Care.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal resident care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of verifiable travel experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in a Long-Term Care setting.
• Experience with Point Click Care is preferred.
• Must have a valid LPN license.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work rotating weekend shifts.

Schedule and Contract Details

This position requires working every weekend with a rotating schedule. Start dates are set every two weeks on Monday. Contracts are typically for 16-18 weeks, aiming to support staffing through the holiday period.

Work Environment

• Average census of 95 residents.
• Staffing ratios: CNA 1:12, LPN 1:18, RN 1:18.

Orientation and Holiday Requirements

Orientation is conducted prior to starting the role, and travelers must be available for two of the three major holidays. A specific holiday off will be determined during orientation based on facility needs.

This position is located in a well-serviced area with access to various public transportation options. Nearby attractions include waterfront activities, malls, hiking trails, skiing, and swimming.
