Opportunity This is a unique opportunity to join our growing Screening and Early Detection commercial team as a field-based Account Executive . You’ll collaborate with sales leadership to shape go-to-market strategies and launch cancer screening technologies that impact patients’ lives. In this role, you’ll promote the SHIELD colorectal cancer (CRC) blood test to healthcare providers in the primary care setting, driving early cancer detection and helping save lives and reduce healthcare costs. Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Engagement: Achieve sales targets through prospecting, relationship-building, and execution of national sales strategies. Target and Engage Healthcare Providers: Build strong relationships with providers and gain commitment to adopt the SHIELD test for CRC and other cancers. Challenger Selling: Understand provider needs and demonstrate how Guardant Health offerings improve patient outcomes and streamline practices. Educate and Support Providers: Provide in-depth product knowledge and training to primary care practices to gain stakeholder support and ensure smooth SHIELD workflow integration. Collaboration & Strategy Collaborate with cross-functional teams (clinical, marketing, product) to align sales strategies and execute business plans. Strategic Business Expansion: Identify new opportunities within territory and foster collaborations with regional and local laboratories to expand reach and establish phlebotomy draw agreements. Plan & Execute Launches: Develop and execute business plans aligned with brand strategies for new cancer screening technologies. Market Insights & Analysis Monitor Competitive Landscape: Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to inform sales tactics and report insights to leadership. Customer Feedback & Reporting: Share key insights with the Commercial Team to enhance product offerings and optimize sales strategies. Customer Service & Operations Provide High-Touch Customer Service: Maintain exceptional service standards by resolving issues proactively and supporting providers throughout the sales process. Compliance & Administrative Excellence: Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and regulations while managing multiple projects and deadlines. Qualifications Experience: A minimum of 4 years of customer-facing sales experience in the healthcare industry (diagnostics, medical device, or pharmaceutical sales), or a minimum of 2 years with direct clinical experience in patient care (RN or PA). Demonstrated success and achievement in these areas. Preferred: Experience with diagnostic products, particularly blood-based testing or cancer screening, directly to primary care providers. Familiarity with the primary care landscape in your territory is a plus. Sales Expertise: Ability to engage in selling conversations, overcome objections, and align client needs with product offerings. Preferred: experience planning and executing product launches in healthcare or diagnostics. Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of the healthcare provider landscape and ability to quickly learn technical product knowledge. Communication Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication abilities. CRM Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce or Veeva. Customer Service Excellence: Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills. Prefer high-touch customer service with a focus on long-term partnerships. Personal Competencies & Attributes Grit: Tenacity and resilience with a scrappy mindset to navigate challenges. Track Record of Success: Consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets in healthcare. Initiative & Problem Solving: Proactive action-taking and effective solutions. Personal Requirements Valid Driver’s License: Clean driving record required for daily field visits. Travel Flexibility: Ability to travel daily within territory and occasionally nationally for meetings. Compensation & Work Model The annualized base salary range for the primary location and additional locations is listed below and excludes benefits, bonus, commission, or equity. Offers are based on geography, experience, education, job duties, and business needs. US Location Base Pay Range: $116,000 - $133,000 Hybrid Work Model: Onsite days are designated for in-person collaboration. All U.S. employees residing within 50 miles of a Guardant facility are expected to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. This model supports focused work and team connection.
