The PSR II serves as the primary point of contact for patients, creating a comfortable and trustworthy environment while collecting blood specimens safely, accurately, and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including Pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections, along with strong patient service and communication skills.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform venipuncture and blood specimen collection safely, accurately, and efficiently.Collect specimens from adult, Pediatric, and geriatric patients, including capillary collections.Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing according to established procedures.Explain collection procedures to patients and create a professional, comfortable patient experience.Verify patient demographic information and required initials/signatures.Confirm specimen labels are accurate and applied in the patient's presence.Prepare, process, and handle specimens according to established laboratory procedures.Maintain accurate patient records and required documentation.Follow all company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and confidentiality standards.Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.Provide excellent customer service to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public.Work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.Work independently with minimal on-site supervision.Travel between Patient Service Centers and physician-office locations as business needs require.Support staffing requirements, including rotational Saturdays, holidays, on-call coverage, overtime, and multiple locations, as needed.Demonstrate sound judgment and the ability to make decisions based on established procedures.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience required.Experience with: Pediatric patients, Geriatric patients, Capillary collections, Venipuncture.Strong specimen collection and processing skills.Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Excellent communication and patient service skills.Keyboarding and data-entry experience.
