Part-Time Program Assistant/Data Entry Specialist SSVF PA/DE-08112026 Part-Time Program Assistant/Data Entry Specialist Posting Number: SSVF PA/DE-08112026 Location Huntington, WV Position Time Requirement Regular, Part-Time, Non-Exempt Pay$16.00/hour Deadline August 17, 2026 The Office Assistant / Case Manager supports the effective and efficient operation of the SSVF Program by combining administrative responsibilities with a limited case-management caseload. The position assists eligible Veteran households in accessing community resources and services in a respectful, strength-based, and nonjudgmental manner. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record Proficiency with Microsoft Office or comparable business software Must pass background and pre-employment drug screening ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Provide administrative and clerical support to the SSVF Program, including answering phones and assisting with office supplies, equipment, correspondence, scanning, filing, and data entry. Create and maintain accurate, timely, and organized electronic and paper records, including client files and database entries. Protect confidential and privileged information and handle sensitive matters with discretion, tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Communicate and interact professionally with staff at all levels, clients, community partners, and vendors. Prioritize and manage multiple assignments with attention to detail, working effectively both independently and as part of a team. Verify that applicants meet applicable Veteran household and program eligibility requirements. Conduct client intake, assessments, and Homeless Prevention Screening Criteria reviews to determine eligibility and level of need. Connect participants with public benefits, daily living services, housing counseling, and housing-search assistance. Provide strengths-based case-management support and coordinate referrals for employment, transportation, medical care, childcare, parenting resources, and emergency assistance, as appropriate. Build relationships with community resources, identify partnership opportunities, and help prevent duplication of services. Collaborate with other agency programs and make referrals based on individual client needs. Assist the Program Director with reports required by funding sources. Attend meetings and training sessions as requested; occasional overnight travel may be required. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
