About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Software Engineering in the Employee Benefits sector. This senior leadership role is pivotal in driving the transformational investments and modernization of core policy, billing, and digital experiences. The successful candidate will be accountable for the end-to-end technology strategy, execution, and continuous transformation of group benefits engineering, with a strong focus on embedding AI-first practices. Responsibilities include leading the technology strategy and roadmap for the employer experience value stream, partnering with business and product leaders to define and execute technology and AI roadmaps, and driving the adoption of AI-first engineering practices. The role also involves ensuring that data, analytics, and AI capabilities are aligned with business objectives, and establishing modern engineering and DevSecOps practices. Applicants should have a minimum of 12 years' of experience in technical software solution development and engineering leadership, with a preference for those with a background in the employee benefits or insurance industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading complex portfolios through transformation, including digital and large platform replacements, and experience in leading legacy to modern application transitions, particularly in the cloud. The role requires an experienced people leader with excellent communication skills, a strategic thinker, and a global experience in managing onshore and offshore teams. A passion for learning, a customer-focused attitude, and a commitment to fostering a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, and responsible AI adoption are essential.
