Inventory Control Coordinator

Location: Houston, TX (100% Onsite) Duration: 3 Months Pay Range: $19.00 to $20.62 per hour on W2 Shift: 2nd Shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Generate reports and review on hand material status, actioning each item daily.
• Make recommendations for inventory adjustments.
• Make recommendations for stock items and/or material status change.
• Prioritize materials for orders and communicate status to the team.
• Distributes daily/weekly reports to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Assists Supervisor with maintaining transactional system integrity.
• Helps problem solve Receiving, Shipping, or Material Availability issues.
• Investigate inventory inaccuracies and WIP transactions for validity.
• Generates reports or documents in support of Shipping, Receiving and Inventory.
• Maintains documents per the clients record retention policy.
• Process material and due date changes to released work orders as needed.
• Assists with LEAN initiatives (kanban, process improvement).

Must Haves:

• High School diploma or GED, or, 3 years relevant work experience.
• Experience in inventory transactions in a production environment.
• Able to lift parts weighing in excess of 50 pounds (assistance when needed) and to work in bending, squatting and standing positions (includes working off ladders) for long periods of time (in excess of one hour).

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience with an operating system such as Oracle, SAP, AS400, JDEdwards etc.
• Proficient with Client Excel: creating formulas, pivot tables and lookups.
• Pass forklift certifications and requirements to operate forklifts.
