Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist Discipline: School Services Start Date: 08/24/2026 Duration: 42 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 7 hours, days Employment Type: Travel AMN Healthcare is partnering with a highly respected school district in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, to fill a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position with a district in Rockville, MD. This full‑time role consists of 35 hours per week and will run through the remainder of the school year. As an SLP, you will be responsible for screening, evaluating, and providing therapy to students with communication disorders, including articulation, voice, fluency, and language challenges. You will collaborate with educators and families, participate in IEP meetings, and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs. Services are provided to students from birth through age 21, across a variety of school settings. Qualifications Speech/Language Pathologist, School Licenses: SLP‑MD. Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or related field. State SLP License in MD. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Previous experience working in a school setting, early childhood, or pediatrics. Strong knowledge of speech and language development, assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members.
