Commercial Pest Technician

Job Summary Commercial Pest Control Technician – perform pest management services for commercial customers, conducting inspections, applying treatments, and advising clients on prevention while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points. Apply approved pest control products (chemicals, baits, traps) while adhering to safety standards. Educate customers on pest prevention methods and maintain a pest‑free environment. Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm appointments, and support sales efforts to expand product use. Maintain pest control equipment, ensuring it is stocked and in good working condition. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols. Operate a company‑provided service vehicle safely and conduct routine vehicle maintenance. Essential Job Functions Work in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, narrow aisles, passageways. Operate around animals, insects, termites, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals, with training provided. Function both indoors and outdoors in local climate conditions while wearing company‑provided weather gear. Perform frequent movement activities (sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, using stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, poles). Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including an OSHA‑compliant respirator. Required Qualifications Clean‑shaven face for safety reasons. High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training or equivalent education/experience. \l Availability to work Monday‑Friday and Saturdays as needed. Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills, and ability to present information internally and externally. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division in all units of measure). Ability to follow instructions for mixing products on labels. Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by company). Customer‑facing experience preferred. Compensation Hourly: \$20.00 – \$23.00. Pay may vary based on location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment (where applicable).
