Your future role at a glance Location: Hoffman Estates, IL Facility: Ascension Saint Alexius Department: Endoscopy Schedule: Day shift plus call | PRN Salary range: $49.00 - 51.00 per hour How you'll make an impact in this role Administers direct nursing care across pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure, and PACU recovery in strict accordance with hospital policies and procedural protocols. Serves as the primary clinical hub coordinating physicians, anesthesia, pathology, and support staff to carry out orders, process specimens, and maintain seamless procedural workflows. Continuously monitors and documents patient status, communicates critical updates via SBAR, and evaluates post-sedation discharge readiness to ensure safe patient handoffs and clear home-care education. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date required. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
