We only accept direct applications.Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist– Fabrication Location: On-site (Fabrication Shop) Employment Type: Full time Schedule: 1st shiftJob Summary The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist is responsible for ensuring fabricated pipe spools and assemblies meet engineering drawings, client specifications, and applicable industry codes. This role is critical to maintaining fabrication quality through inspection, material traceability, testing coordination, and accurate QA/QC documentation throughout the fabrication lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform visual inspection of welds to verify quality, workmanship, and code complianceVerify weld preparation, joint fit-up, alignment, and weld sizeEnsure welding activities comply with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)Inspect pipe spools against isometric drawings for dimensions, orientation, slope, and fit-upVerify incoming materials for correct specifications, heat numbers, and certificationsMaintain material traceability throughout fabricationCoordinate and witness Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities (RT, UT, PT, etc.)Review, document, and track NDT resultsMaintain inspection records, weld logs, and quality documentationPrepare, issue, and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)Compile and maintain final QA/QC turnover packages for client deliveryEnsure compliance with ASME, API, AWS, and client-specific standardsSupport and promote adherence to shop safety policies and proceduresRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED3+ years of QA/QC experience in pipe fabrication or industrial fabrication preferredAbility to read and interpret piping isometrics and P&IDsWorking knowledge of ASTM material specificationsStrong understanding of welding processes and inspection methodsProficiency with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and weld gaugesStrong attention to detail with a focus on accurate documentationEffective communication and organizational skillsPreferred QualificationsAWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)NDT certifications (RT, UT, PT, MT)Experience in industrial, refinery, or power plant fabrication environmentsKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)Reduction in rework and NCRsAccuracy, completeness, and timeliness of QA/QC documentationCompliance with quality standards, codes, and safety requirementsWhy Join UsHands-on role with direct impact on fabrication quality Strong safety and quality culture Stable shop environment with growth potential Competitive compensation and benefitsWe're committed to attracting talented individuals who seek a company with a strong foundation of success and an outstanding culture.
