therapy intervention as described in the treatment plan.Attend care conferences as needed to assist in developing and revising the guest/resident care plans.Participate in Medicare, admissions, and monthly Rehabilitation Department meetings.Work and coordinate with all team members to meet guest/residents’ needs.Serve as an integral part of the interdisciplinary treatment team, facilitating a unified approach to guest/resident treatment.Ensure occupational therapy programs are regularly updated in a manner which will most effectively benefit guests/residents.Train staff members in specific techniques related to each guest/residents’ individual needs.Develop restorative programs and train restorative aides to carry out these programs.Work different shifts, including weekends, to provide optimal guest/resident care.Work independently, while prioritizing duties and responsibilities, taking on additional assignments, maintaining accuracy and timeliness with documentation, and demonstrating the ability to problem solve.Respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints from others.Perform other duties as assigned.Supervision / LeadershipSupervise Occupational therapy Assistants (COTA) and Rehabilitation Aides and provide clear communication and direction to concerning resident care and treatment.Decision MakingThis position may make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.Decisions, final recommendations, and/or errors made by the incumbent may affect guests/residents and other staff in the unit/department that this position is assigned to but may, on occasion, affect all staff of Immanuel Living Communities.Job duties typically involve frequently changing conditions and problems, requiring considerable judgment in applying factual background and fundamental principles to the development of approaches and techniques for the solution of problems.This position cannot authorize exceptions to Corporate policy or procedure.DocumentationComplete required documentation, including evaluations, required Medicare documentation, care plan entries, daily progress notes, and weekly summaries before the end of the
