Senior Radiation Therapist

Overview Senior Radiation Therapist – responsible for leading clinical and technical operations within assigned office(s), ensuring high‑quality patient care and adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities Supervise and delegate tasks to radiation therapists, nurses, and medical assistants. Oversee simulation, treatment delivery, and technical accuracy of setups, including IMRT, IGRT, stereotactic radiotherapy, radiosurgery, total body irradiation, and HDR programs. Provide clinical instruction and evaluation of students and staff. Coordinate patient scheduling and staff coverage to maintain appropriate coverage. Lead and attend departmental meetings, quality assurance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain equipment QA logs, monitor and resolve machine and equipment issues, and ensure proper notification of downtime. Manage supplies, ordering, inventory, and par level maintenance in collaboration with the Administrative Manager. Conduct staff evaluations, training, and continuing education monitoring. Prepare and analyze statistical reports, compliance documentation, and regulatory submissions. Act as the operational leader in the absence of other senior therapists or regional technical managers. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School for Radiation Therapy. ARRT Registered Technologist (T) with state license where required. Good standing with all continuing education, licensing, and certification requirements. CPR certified. Computer literate with experience using Record & Verify applications, treatment delivery applications, electronic medical records, and associated software (e.g., GenesisCare E‑mail, DTS, GenesisCare Intranet, MS Office Suite).
