Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (HVTI)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days/Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a stepdown/IMC/PCU setting focused on the cardiovascular-thoracic population
• May be expected to float to other units (including general stepdown and emergency department) to care for the same patient population based on operational need
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as assessed during orientation
• Administer and manage medications safely, with competency verified via assessment during orientation
• Participate in rotating holiday coverage, working at least every other holiday
• Maintain active and current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications throughout the duration of the contract

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum of 12 months of permanent employment experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown or the specialty applying for
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active NIHSS certification required — all certifications must be in hand at time of submission; no pending certifications accepted
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months, is required for submission (co-worker references will not be accepted)
• No open background cases; facility does not accept any license hits
• Locals are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience within a single location for the required specialty tenure, though combined experience across locations is considered
• Familiarity with cardiovascular-thoracic patient populations
• Comfort with floating across multiple unit types within a large health system
