Accountant

LHH is supporting our client in the search for an Accountant to join their accounting team on the north side of Columbus, OH. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional looking to expand their experience across accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and month-end close.

The Accountant will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records while supporting the broader accounting function. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, excellent attention to detail, and a desire to continue growing professionally.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily accounting activities, including financial data entry, transaction processing, and general ledger maintenance
  
• Support accounts receivable functions with a strong focus on customer billing, cash application, account reconciliation, and researching discrepancies
  
• Assist with accounts payable activities, including invoice coding and payment preparation
  
• Complete bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger entries to ensure financial accuracy
  
• Prepare and assist with journal entries, account analysis, financial reporting, and month-end close activities
  
• Support audits, compliance activities, special projects, and additional accounting needs as assigned
  

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting required; bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  
• at least 2 years of accounting experience
  
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits and credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting
  
• Experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, or related accounting functions
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and vlookups
  
• Experience with QuickBooks or another accounting/ERP system is preferred
  
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
  
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
