Front Desk Receptionist

Welcomes patients and their loved ones when they come for appointments.

Answers phone calls and emails from patients, medical team, providers, and vendors.

Maintains office schedule for staff members.

Files medical records and other documents into the electronic medical record.

Keeps front desk and office organized and running smoothly.

Scheduling appointments and follow-ups for patients

Assists ill or distraught patients, as necessary. Telephones Omni bus or family members for patient transportation if needed.

Collect and process patient payments.

Assists patients with filling out forms and answering their questions.

Ensure patients have the correct information in their chart, example: address, phone number, insurance.

Uses medical office software and other technology to keep information organized and up to date.

Maintains a working relationship with medical team and other medical offices or departments.

Provides coverage and attends training at other Primary Care locations as directed.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Prefer High School graduate with courses in English, typing and math.

Good typing skills: experiences in reception work helpful.

Personal computer skills and Medical Terminology helpful.

Ability to communicate pleasantly and effectively with patients and/or their representatives and within the office complex.

Must have proven ability of self-starter and able to work under stress.

Maintain positive attitude and disposition and possess a neat business-like appearance, per policy.

Greets patients and visitors in a friendly professional manner. Manage the patient experience while at the front desk during check in /check out process. Be a liaison between patients, clinical team, and other departments.
