High Performance Compute (HPC) System Administrator Onsite role with an expectation to primarily work from an HPE partner/customer office. Responsible for technical support and leadership in creation and delivery of technology solutions that meet customers’ business needs. Act as a trusted advisor, maintain effective customer relationships, and contribute to the company’s solutions portfolio with technical knowledge and methodologies. Shape technical direction, meet chargeability and revenue goals, and generate new business opportunities. Role Requires: Top Secret Clearance Required, TS/SCI preferred Security+ and Linux+ certification On‑site at customer location in Vicksburg, MS Some on‑call/weekend work required HPC experience Management Level Definition: Contributions impact technical components of HPE products, solutions, or services. Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Provides expertise and partnership to functional and technical project teams, exercises independent judgment, and may provide team leadership and mentoring. Responsibilities: Monitoring and maintaining system health on the HPC system(s) – compute, network, and storage Reviewing, resolving and responding to client tickets Creating, monitoring and closing all support cases Maintaining availability reports for tracking SLA’s Planning, scheduling and completing monthly patch upgrades and 6‑month kernel upgrades Maintaining the system security posture required by the client Assisting the client with app installations Troubleshooting and repairing hardware issues Tracking/documenting hardware repairs and part cases Maintaining the on‑call schedule to support 24×7×2/4 contracts Assisting with hardware and system installation activities in new systems Education and Experience Required: 5+ years of Linux System Administration Experience Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area; if no degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (8+ years total) CompTIA Security+ Certification Required CompTIA Linux+ Certification Required TS Clearance Required On‑site 5 days a week with potential on‑call work Experience with HPC is required Knowledge and Skills: Depth and breadth of technical knowledge to design and scope multiple deliverables across HPC technologies Demonstrated innovation and communication of new deliverables and offerings Led teams in delivery of multiple deliverables across multiple technologies Develop solutions that enhance the availability, performance, maintainability and agility of a customer’s enterprise Contributed to design and application of new tools Re‑use existing experience to develop new solutions for market Understanding of architectural dependencies of technologies in a customer’s IT environment Recognized expert in one or more technologies within own technical community and at regional level Appropriate communication with senior management Diagnose complex technical problems to root cause, summarize prognosis and impact Adapt consulting style and identify up‑sell opportunities Broad understanding of market dynamics, commercial issues, and technical concerns Present within own area of expertise in technical demos Produce complete proposals for smaller engagements Manage complex integration efforts and demonstrate application of technical expertise Complete solution implementation or application design deliverables independently Additional Skills: Accountability Active Learning Active Listening Bias Business Growth Client Expectations Management Coaching Creativity Critical Thinking Cross-Functional Teamwork Customer Centric Solutions Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Design Thinking Empathy Follow-Through Growth Mindset Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Intellectual Curiosity (Inactive) Long Term Planning Managing Ambiguity Process Improvements Product Services Relationship Building Benefits: Health & Wellbeing – comprehensive suite of benefits supporting physical, financial, and emotional wellbeing. Salary Range: Annual Salary USD 105,500 – 243,000 in Mississippi. Variable incentives may also be offered.
