Utility Worker

Utility WorkerResponsible for disassembling, cleaning and sanitizing of all food-processing equipment, including storage areas, manning the dish machine and pot washing stations, sanitation of floors -walls- mobile kitchen equipment, handling any and all line clean ups enforcing all safety rules and regulations, monitoring the inventory of cleaning equipment and cleaning supplies.FULL_TIME & PART-TIME opportunities Available Weekends included FLSA Status: Non-ExemptDining Salary: $15.49 HourlySupervisor Title: Executive ChefI. POSITION OBJECTIVEFollows State regulations for sanitation to prevent and/or eliminate the spread of bacteria. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSEnsures excellent customer service is provided to residents, family members, guests, and staff.Cleans floors and walls in kitchen and cafeteria.Cleans small and large kettles, steamers and carts daily.Cleans dish machine after each use and lets the parts air dry.Cleans all service ware including pots and pans.Stores all tableware and other items in proper area.Properly disposes of trash after each meal.Delivers food carts and nourishments to all dining service areas.Assist in dining room and bistro areas.Collects soiled dishes throughout the dining room and stacks items in bus pans.III. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONSPerforms specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.IV. KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSMinimum completion of eighth grade or equivalent experience.Must be able to follow written and oral directions.V. LICENSES/ CERTIFICATIONSMust obtain all local, state, and federal food safety certifications; including but not limited to Serv Safe certification within one year of hire. All certifications must be current while employed. Copies of certification(s) must be provided to the Department and Human Resources.VI.
