This role demands a foundational understanding of legal terminology alongside strong organizational, research, and communication skills to assist in managing case information and facilitating smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and take detailed messages
• Conduct legal and legislative research to gather background information
• Prepare and proofread legal documents ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Maintain and manage accurate records for multiple clients and cases
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Schedule appointments and manage calendar logistics for the team
• Apply basic legal terminology understanding in daily tasks
• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for document creation and data management with Outlook for calendaring and emails

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in legislative assistance
• Knowledge of legal terminology and research methodologies
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficient organizational and typing skills
• Experience with data entry and interpersonal collaboration
