Registered Nurse (RN) in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Operating Room team. This position involves working standard hours with some call requirements. You will be responsible for the care of patients undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cardiovascular and general operating room procedures. Flexibility to float across various surgical services is necessary. The role includes both circulating and scrubbing in operations, with a focus on patient safety and effective teamwork. The selected candidate will participate in holiday rotations and be required to work during critical care periods as needed. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for this position. Experience: Minimum of 24 months of current operating room and CVOR experience required. Cardiovascular OR experience required. General circulating and general operating room experience required. Strong proficiency in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic cases required. Basic general surgery circulating experience required. EPIC electronic medical systems experience within the previous 3 years required. Trauma Level I experience preferred; Trauma Level II experience required. Must have completed a travel assignment within the previous 15 months. Scrub experience, including open heart scrubbing, required.

License: Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required.

Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.

Must-Have: Current operating room and CVOR experience. Experience in cardiovascular cases. Significant experience in cardiac procedures. General circulating experience in operating rooms. Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records. Ability to perform in a Level I/II trauma setting. Scrubbing experience, particularly in cardiac cases.
