Pneumatic and Hydraulic Co. is seeking a Hydraulic Specialist to support our customers through a combination of technical hydraulic system design, engineering support, and outside sales. This position is ideal for someone with strong hydraulic expertise who enjoys working directly with customers, solving complex fluid power challenges, and helping drive business growth.

• Develop and grow customer relationships within an assigned territory
• Generate new business through prospecting, networking, and cold calling
• Manage customer accounts, quotations, and sales opportunities
• Meet and exceed territory sales goals
• Provide hydraulic system design and engineering support
• Size and select hydraulic components for industrial and mobile equipment
• Draft hydraulic schematics using standard fluid power symbols
• Assist with system design, specifications, and project execution
• Troubleshoot hydraulic system issues and recommend solutions
• Conduct product reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver successful projects
• Maintain accurate sales and project documentation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of outside sales experience
• Strong communication and customer relationship skills
• Ability to manage projects, priorities, and deadlines
• Professional presentation and customer-facing demeanor

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of hydraulic design experience
• Experience with fluid power systems, schematics, and component selection
• Knowledge of hydraulic troubleshooting and system optimization
• Experience supporting industrial or mobile equipment applications

Location: Broussard, LA

While this position is based out of our Broussard office, we are primarily seeking candidates who are local to one of our Louisiana branch locations, including Broussard or Geismar. Regular travel within the assigned territory will be required to support customers and business development activities.

Full-time, exempt position. Typical hours are Monday through Friday with flexibility based on customer and project needs. Travel within the territory is required.
