Shipping Supervisor

Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the day-to-day production activities with a primary emphasis on Safety, Health, & Environmental compliance and production performance.Complete safety observations, recognize and address potential issues as they ariseManage all shipments of material by rail and truckManage treated inventory on a First in, First Out (FIFO) basis.Maintain housekeeping for areas supervised.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; BS in Wood Science or Business preferred.5 years of experience in lieu of a degree would be considered.Relevant industrial supervisory experience; management experience in the timber industry preferred.Safety, health and environmental awarenessStrong organizational, teamwork and communications skills.Experience with Microsoft Office ProductsPrior union experience is preferredKoppers Inc. and its subsidiaries are equal opportunity employers.
