Key Responsibilities Analyzing Construction Documents: They review contracts, project documentation, and schedule to identify potential issues that could lead to claims. Conducting Investigations: Specialists investigate claims to gather necessary information and assess their validity based on contractual obligations and legal requirements. Preparing Reports: They prepare detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations for claim resolution. Negotiation and Mediation: They engage in negotiations with stakeholders to resolve disputes amicably and may also represent the company in legal proceedings if necessary. Collaboration: They work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and legal teams to ensure effective claim management and resolution. Required Qualifications Strong Knowledge of Construction Principles: A deep understanding of construction methods, processes, and industry regulations is essential. Analytical Skills: The ability to assess claims critically and determine their validity is crucial. Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation abilities are necessary to resolve disputes effectively. Communication Skills: Clear communication is vital for collaborating with various stakeholders and presenting findings. Working Conditions Office environment with regular visits to project sites as needed. Occasional travel to supplier locations, job sites, or company meetings. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry materials or samples up to 25 pounds occasionally.
