senior accountant analyst

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $100,000 to $110,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries, complete account reconciliations, and correct errors to ensure accurate financial results.
• Analyze balance sheet activity each month and document clear explanations for changes across reporting periods.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures and lead efforts to improve processes.
• Partner with operations, payables, and other teams to support timely financial statements and proper expense coding.
• Support audits, compliance testing, and special projects while maintaining complete and organized documentation.

• A Bachelor degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
• At least 3+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role within a fast paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, and preparation of financial statements.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions, with comfort analyzing large data sets.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work with limited daily direction.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with careful attention to detail and accuracy.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work well with both finance and operations teams.
• Ability to manage high volumes of transactions and respond quickly to auditor and leadership requests.
• Self starter with strong organization skills and a consistent focus on process improvement and automation.
• Professional presence with sound judgment, integrity, and a service minded approach to internal partners.
