Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll Specialist

Overview We are seeking an experienced Oracle HCM Cloud professional with deep expertise in Payroll as a primary skill, along with working knowledge of Time & Labor and Absence Management. This role will serve as the end-to-end owner of Payroll functionality, combining hands-on configuration, operational support, and platform ownership. The ideal candidate will partner closely with business stakeholders to drive system improvements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless payroll operations while supporting quarterly releases and continuous enhancements. Responsibilities Own end-to-end Oracle HCM Payroll functionality, including configuration, maintenance, and optimization Troubleshoot and resolve Payroll, Time, and Absence issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations Partner with business teams (HR, Payroll, Operations) to gather requirements and deliver enhancements Lead and support testing efforts during quarterly releases, including UAT validation and production readiness Drive continuous improvements in Payroll processes, automation, and system efficiency Qualifications Hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll Strong expertise in Payroll configuration (elements, fast formulas, balances, payroll flows) Experience troubleshooting complex Payroll-related issues and performing root cause analysis Working knowledge of Time & Labor and Absence modules Experience supporting UAT and Oracle quarterly release testing Ability to partner with business stakeholders and translate requirements into system solutions Preferred Qualifications Experience owning Payroll as a product or platform with strong operational and systems ownership capabilities Strong understanding of end-to-end HCM integrations and upstream/downstream impacts Experience in high-volume or complex payroll environments Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Compensation and Benefits For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD 138,000 per year - USD 153,000 per year. For New York, NY-based roles: USD 153,000 - 170,000. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: USD 153,000 - 170,000. For Seattle, WA-based roles: USD 153,000 - 170,000. For Washington, DC-based roles: USD 153,000 - 170,000. All US locations: eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program and may be offered an equity award and other types of compensation.
