Registered Nurse - ICU

$2154.24/week –

Job Summary:
The RN – Critical Care Float Pool provides advanced nursing care to critically ill patients across various ICU units. This role involves assessing patient needs, implementing physician orders, and coordinating multidisciplinary care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Administer medications, change dressings, and monitor vital signs according to protocols.
• Manage respiratory and ventilator support for critically ill patients.
• Serve as the primary communicator, documenting patient conditions and updating the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families about their care, discharge planning, and health management.
• Mentor new staff members and uphold safety standards, including standard precautions.

Qualifications:

• Current Nevada Registered Nurse license.
• Valid BCLS and ACLS certifications, with NIHSS within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute critical care hospital experience.
• Strong critical thinking, effective communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Preferred: BSN and CCRN certification, or enrollment in BSN program.
