Your Role and Responsibilities

• Performing comprehensive evaluations of patients, ordering relevant diagnostic exams, and crafting tailored care plans
• Diagnosing and treating a wide range of acute, episodic, or chronic ailments in partnership with physicians or autonomously (depending on your credentials)
• Instructing patients and families in prevention, wellness strategies, and effective disease management
• Prescribing appropriate medications and treatment regimens within your granted scope of practice
• Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic care management initiatives

Qualifications and Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Needed

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license within the state of California
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent certification in your specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure these within 90 days)
