Overview

As a Field Service Technician III, you will support Brightstar Lottery's retail network by installing, maintaining, and repairing lottery equipment and communication devices at customer locations in the Long Island, NY, area. You will respond to service dispatches, troubleshoot equipment issues, deliver supplies, and provide basic retailer training to promote reliable operations and a positive customer experience. This role will be located in Long Island, New York.

Responsibilities

• Transport, install, remove, and maintain Brightstar Lottery equipment, replacement parts, tools, and related materials.

• Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and restore service through component replacement, cleaning, and minor adjustments.

• Communicate service activity, arrival and departure times, equipment failures, and resolutions accurately to Dispatch.

• Deliver marketing materials and consumable supplies, including paper, ribbons, and betslips, while maintaining accurate inventory records.

• Train new retailers and provide refresher guidance on routine procedures, such as replacing paper and ribbons.

• Complete required service forms and document equipment issues, field activity, and recommendations for process improvements.

• Follow driver training requirements and company policies for the safe use and maintenance of an assigned vehicle.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• Two to four years of experience in a customer service-related position.

• Demonstrated background with two to four years of technical repair experience.

• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

• Capacity to correctly perceive colors.

• Eligibility to satisfy applicable security clearance, reference check, background check, pre-placement physical, and drug testing requirements.

• Willingness to provide additional personal disclosures when required by customers, regulators, or applicable jurisdictions.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required

• Familiarity with field service dispatch processes and route-based customer support.

• Aptitude for diagnosing equipment issues and completing minor mechanical or technical repairs.

• Customer-focused communication skills with experience explaining procedures to nontechnical audiences.

• Organizational strength in managing tools, replacement parts, supplies, and inventory.

• Initiative to work independently, make sound decisions, and resolve service issues efficiently.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds for significant distances, including from a parked vehicle into a retailer location or to a rooftop.

• Climb ladders and work at heights when installing or servicing equipment.

• Sit and drive for prolonged periods while traveling within an assigned service zone.

• Demonstrate manual dexterity when working with tools, moving parts, and electrical current.

• Operate in close quarters and occasionally perform installations in inclement weather.

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $44,034 - $85,176. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
