RN - PCU

Progressive Care Registered Nurse (RN)

Night shift: 1845 to 0715 Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours. No call required.

City: Honolulu, HI

2 years of hospital acute care experience required.

Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS)

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Hawaii RN License (must be obtained prior to the start of the assignment)

Progressive Care Unit includes:

15 bed unit

3 Step Down ICU beds

12 telemetry beds

Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:4 for Progressive Care; 1:3 for Step Down ICU

Provide primary nursing care

Monitor telemetry

Read telemetry strips

Perform fingerstick blood sugar testing

Meditech charting system

Pyxis medication dispensing system

BIPAP for respiratory support

Continuous cardiac monitoring systems

Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred, along with:

At least 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year

Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred

National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred

The role requires floating to all acute care units including Medical, Surgical/Pediatric, ICU, and Emergency Room departments as needed.

Scrubs are required.

Holiday coverage is required.
