Medical Assistant

Location: Greenwood, IN 46143
Duration: 8 weeks, with possible extension
Shift: Day Shift

Pay Rate: $24/hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to provide both front-office and back-office support in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with patients, assisting with clinical procedures, managing administrative tasks, and supporting the healthcare team as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner.
• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits.
• Take and document patient vital signs.
• Schedule appointments and answer incoming phone calls.
• Perform blood draws and venipuncture.
• Administer vaccines as permitted by applicable regulations and facility protocols.
• Assist with various clinical and administrative tasks to support daily operations.
• Document patient information accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Provide additional clinical support wherever needed.
• Maintain a collaborative and professional relationship with physicians, clinical staff, and other team members.
• Provide a positive patient experience while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Support health education and outreach activities when required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience , excluding externship experience.
• Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred.
• Phlebotomy/Venipuncture experience required.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment.
• Comfortable interacting with patients and providing professional, compassionate support.
• Interest in health education, community outreach, and making a positive difference in patients' lives.
