Registered Nurse - ICU/Step Down

Location: Rockport, MAINE

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 36 hours per week, with shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, including every other weekend.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our ICU/Step Down unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals in critical condition or requiring significant monitoring and assistance. You will work closely with a dedicated team to manage complex patient needs and ensure optimal recovery outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in the ICU/Step Down setting, monitoring vital signs and adapting care plans as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement effective patient care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and ongoing care plans.
• Assist in the management of emergency situations as they arise.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU or Step Down nursing.
• Current RN license in good standing.
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS; NIHSS and PALS preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to float to other units as required by patient needs.
