Help us define and create the user experience, vision and product design that will drive the next generation of how consumers will use the internet to search, connect, and find information.

We are looking for a passionate and innovative self starter to join our Live Search product team in Mountain View as a full-time Web site User Experience Designer to create the next set of UI metaphors and experiences that will change and impact the way people search and connect to find valuable information online.

In this role, you will be designing a set of web-based search experiences from inception (including sketches, user experience flow diagrams, wire frames), through to completion (with final production quality screenshots). We are looking for a collaborative individual who is comfortable working hands on to prioritize and create the right customer focused experience by managing inputs from Product Management, Program Management, Development and Quality Assurance.

The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented, customer focused, self starter with at 5-8 years of hands on web site design experience in a fast paced environment with the following qualifications:

1. Proficiency working in Adobe Photoshop.
2. Experience designing a full web site end-to-end, and ideally will also have experience designing a web or software-based application.
3. Experience incorporating real-world research and data from customer feedback to modify and improve the product (eg: usability studies, customer support, etc.)
4. Proven experience working through diverse sets of product requirements to develop product vision
5. Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively illustrate and present ideas and concepts to the team
6. Collaborative approach that brings good resolution decisions to tough design questions and issues.
7. Proven track record delivering high quality work while hitting commitments and timeframes based on product team and business requirements
8. Ability to work closely with other internal design teams for advice/guidance on overall brand requirements to ensure that our product design meets the necessary vision for the overall Live Search brand.
9. Ability to successfully execute on, and load balance across, multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
10. Experience designing mobile based applications and working in Flash a plus.
