Motor Vehicle Representative

Are you highly motivated and ready to work in a fast-paced environment? The Revenue Services Support Unit (RSSU) reviews and rates dishonored check (DC) worksheets and payment information received from the Franchise Tax Board (FTB). You will identify and explain the basis of debt and make adjustments to individual accounts as warranted by the documentation provided by the customer. Process registration applications, refunds, properly allocate fees, cashier checks, and update our DC database. Review correspondence from the Field Office, FTB, and public, then request form letters to be typed and prepare memos for manager's signature. You will resolve less-complex problems involving correction of records, refunds, and adjustment of fees. Interpret vehicle registration procedures, various registration printouts, and Vehicle Code book; and answer calls from the public on a rotational basis.

The position(s) being advertised may be subject to allocation approval by the Human Resources Branch. Fingerprint/Criminal Record Clearance is required before hire. The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Salaries are non-negotiable and are subject to the California Department of Human Resources salary rules. Salaries for part-time and/or intermittent appointments may vary. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.
