Regional Business Development Manager West Springfield,MA, US Experience: Mid Level Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 per year Job Description A Day in This Role Your morning starts with a round of prospecting calls and following up on a few website leads. Late morning, you're on-site at a warehouse doing a needs assessment, walking the property and taking notes for a proposal. After lunch you sit down with estimating to firm up pricing on a bid you're chasing, then update your CRM pipeline before a call with a General Contractor about an upcoming new-build opportunity. You close the day following up on a proposal you sent last week — and if it didn't land, figuring out why so you can adjust the next one. The Role Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within your territory; build and manage a pipeline. Develop relationships within the local community and follow up on website-generated leads. Qualify for local municipal bid opportunities and General Contractor new-build opportunities. Track opportunities in CRM; follow up with estimating to ensure timely response. Conduct site visits for needs assessment; develop project scope and review with the customer before submitting to estimating. Prepare and present proposals in a timely manner; follow up and answer questions. Collaborate with Estimating and Service Management teams throughout each project. Track and analyze sales and marketing data to identify trends and improve conversion rates over time. What You Bring — Must-Haves Demonstrated success in sales and business development — hunter mentality matters more than specific industry background. Strong project management skills — able to scope requirements, source materials, and produce accurate estimates. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong negotiation ability. What You Bring — Nice-to-Haves Prior product sales experience — elevator and automotive sales are strong transition industries, both building the electrical-to-mechanical understanding this role needs. Experience with CRM systems and structured pipeline management. Prior sales team leadership or mentorship experience.
